　　The Paralympic Games have always been held in the same year as the Olympic Games. Since the Seoul 1988 Paralympic Games and the Albertville 1992 Winter Paralympic Games, they have also taken place at the same venues as the Olympics. On 19 June 2001, an agreement was signed between IOC and IPC(International Paralympic Committee) securing this practice for the future.

　　残奥会一直和奥运会在同一年举行，从1988年汉城夏季残奥会和1992年阿尔贝维尔冬季残奥会开始，残奥会和奥运会在同一地点举行。2001年6月19日，国际奥委会和国际残奥会达成协议，确保这一举办模式在今后成为惯例。
