　　Psysiological studies have shown that it is impossible to respond to the gun in less that 1/100th of a second. In Atlanta, the British sprinter Linford Christie was disqualified for twice breaking around the 0.008 second mark.

　　生理学研究显示：人不可能在百分之一秒内对发令枪作出反应。因此如果从发令枪响起到运动员离开起跑器的时间少于百分之一秒的话，就属于抢跑了。亚特兰大奥运会上，英国选手林福德-克里斯蒂就是因为两次起跑都被测定在0.008秒，被判抢跑，从而失去了继续比赛的资格。
