  Anti-apartheid

At men's 200m Victory Ceremony in 1968 Mexico Olympic Games, black gold medalist Tommie Lee Smith and bronze medalist John Carlos raised their clenched right fists and lowered their heads during the playing of American national anthem, expressing their outrage against the apartheid in America. For this they were immediately ejected from Mexico, but their behavior won the respect of the whole world.
