日常会话：交通堵塞太可怕了

　　A I was in a taxi last night during the rush hour for about 45 minutes. And it was only a short journey.

　　A 我昨晚乘出租车在高峰时刻耽搁了大约45分钟。其实只是一小段路程。

　　B It takes so long to drive anywhere during the rush hour.

　　B 在高峰阶段无论在哪里都要开很长时间。

　　A I know. It’s horrible when you are stuck in a traffic jam and you are late for something.

　　A 我知道。遭遇交通阻塞太可怕了，你一定迟到。

　　B But there’s nothing you can do. It’s the same for everybody.

　　B 但是你又无能为力。对谁都一样。

　　A Sometimes I think the best thing to do in rush hour is to walk.

　　A 有时我想在高峰时刻最好的办法是步行。

　　B If it’s a short journey, I think you’re right.

　　B 如果路途很短的话，我想你是对的。
