  BEIJING, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- Britain's Christine Ohuruogu captured the gold medal of the women's 400 meters in 49.62 seconds at the Beijing Olympic Games here on Tuesday.

  Jamaica's Shericka Williams took the silver in 49.69 seconds andAmerican Sanya Richards took the bronze in 49.93.
