(BEIJING, August 20) -- The last three finalists were decided after the conclusion of the semifinal of Canoe\Kayak Women's Flatwater Kayak Four (K4) 500-meter on August 20. In Wednesday's competition, four teams performed in the water. The top three finishers earned their berths for the final. The Spanish team, composed of Beatriz Manchon, Jana Smidakova, Sonia Molanes and Maria Teresa Portela, placed first, clocking 1:37.172. The Japanese team of Kitamoto Shinobu, Kuno Ayaka, Takeya Mikiko and Suzuki Yumiko trailed 0.227 seconds behind.
