Canadian kayak pair leads semis

  (BEIJING, August 21) -- The semifinals for Men's Flatwater Kayak Double (K2) 500 meter have concluded, with three pairs getting their entrance tickets into the final.

  Canada's Richard Dober Jr. and Andrew Willows finished first with a time of 1:31.232 minutes. The Polish paddlers Marek Twardowski and Adam Wysocki kept close behind the first pair, finishing 0.249 second later. The Denmark duo Kim Wraae Knudsen and Rene Holten Poulsen came in third.

  They will join the direct final qualifiers from the preliminary heats to advance to the final on Saturday, August 23.
