(BEIJING, August 21) -- Nelson Evora of Portugal won the gold medal in the Men's Triple Jump with a jump of 17.67 meters at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

　　Phillips Idowu of Great Britain jumped 17.62m to capture silver, while Leevan Sands of the Bahamas took bronze with a jump of 17.59m.
