(BEIJING, August 22) -- The Netherlands beat China 2-0 in the final of the Women's Hockey tournament to give the 14-time Champions Trophy top-three finisher its first Olympic Women's Hockey gold since Los Angeles 1984. The Dutch finished second in Athens and third in Sydney.

　　China stunned the Hockey world by defeating Athens Olympic champion Germany in the semifinals. A relative newcomer to the sport, China earns its best ever Olympic finish in Hockey by winning silver.

　　Bronze went to Argentina, who beat Germany in the day's other medal match.
