Norway clinches Olympic gold in Women's Handball

  (BEIING, August 23) -- Norway overpowered their old rival Russia with a score of 34-27 in the Women's Handball gold medal match at the National Indoor Stadium on Saturday, August 23.

  Russia, who defeated Norway in the 2007 World Championships, claimed the silver medal.

  Linn-Kristin Riegelhuth scored a team-high of ten goals for Norway while Russia's top scorer Irina Bliznova contributed six goals out of ten attempts.
