Canada's Christopher wins men's 400 meters world indoor title

    VALENCIA, Spain, March 9 (Xinhua) -- Tyler Christopher of Canada won the men's 400 meters title at the 12th IAAF World Indoor Championships Sunday in Valencia, Spain, in a world leading time of 45.67 seconds.

    Johan Wissman of Sweden won the silver medal with a personal best of 46.04, and Chris Brown of Bahamas won the bronze medal with 46.26.

    Nery Brenes of Costa Rica, Russian Maksim Dyldin and Sean Wroe of Australia finished 4th to 6th respectively.

    The three-day Valencia indoor worlds, which kicked off on Friday, will conclude on Sunday.

    A total of 646 athletes from 157 countries and regions are participating in the tournament, the last major athletics event before the August Olympic Games in Beijing.
