BEIJING, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- Kim Jong-su of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) has tested positive for doping at the ongoing Beijing Olympic Games, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) said here on Friday at a press conference.

Kim took a bronze in men's 10-meter air pistol on Aug. 9 and won a silver in the men's 50-meter pistol final on Aug. 12.

The IOC decided at a meeting on Friday to exclude Kim from the Beijing Olympic Games, said IOC press director Giselle Davies.

Kim's bronze in men's 10-meter air pistol final now goes to Jason Turner from the United States, who previously ranked fourth, she said.

China's Tan Zhongliang now takes silver in men's 50-meter pistol final and the bronze goes to Vladimir Isakov, said Davies.

Spanish cyclist Maria Isabel Moreno became the first athlete to test positive at the Beijing Games on Monday.
